Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups (155g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) whole milk
  • 2 tsp (10ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp (30g) rainbow sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let it cool completely before using.
  2. Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar in a bowl until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract, milk, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the cooled, heat-treated flour, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Fold in the sprinkles by hand using a spatula until evenly distributed.
