Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz / 462 g) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 3 tbsp (42 g) salted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp (2 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 can (21 oz / 595 g) apple pie filling
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Empty the apple pie filling into a bowl. Using a sharp knife, chop the apple slices into smaller, bite-sized pieces and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pop open the can of biscuits and separate them.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Dip the top of each biscuit into the butter mixture, then press it firmly into the cinnamon-sugar blend until heavily coated.
  6. Grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet or baking dish and place the coated biscuits in the pan.
  7. Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of the chopped apple filling onto the center of each biscuit, pressing down slightly.
  8. Bake for 25–35 minutes until the biscuit edges are mahogany-colored and the apple filling is bubbling.
