Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated white sugar
- 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt (5% full fat)
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1 1/2 cups (255g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together until the mixture is smooth and pale.
- Stir in the Greek yogurt and vanilla extract, beating until the batter is velvety and fully emulsified.
- Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Using a spatula, fold the ingredients together until just combined, stopping as soon as no flour streaks remain.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until edges are mahogany-colored and set, but centers remain slightly underbaked.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on the sheet to firm up.
