Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups (12 oz) Blanco or Reposado Tequila (100% Agave)
  • 1 cup (8 oz) Cointreau or high-quality Triple Sec
  • 1 cup (8 oz) Freshly squeezed lime juice (about 8–10 limes)
  • 0.25 cup (2 oz) Light agave nectar
  • Coarse sea salt for rimming
  • 2 fresh limes, thinly sliced into rounds
  • Large ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Juice approximately 8-10 fresh limes until you reach the 1-cup mark. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large glass pitcher to remove excess pulp.
  2. Add 1.5 cups of tequila, 1 cup of Cointreau, and 0.25 cup of light agave nectar to the lime juice in the pitcher.
  3. Stir the mixture vigorously with a long-handled spoon for 30 seconds to aerate the citrus and fully integrate the agave nectar.
  4. Prepare serving glasses by rimming them with a lime wedge and dipping into coarse salt. Fill glasses with fresh ice.
  5. Give the pitcher one final stir and pour the margarita mixture immediately into the prepared glasses. Garnish with lime rounds.
