Ingredients:
- 1 lb firm-ripe plums, halved and pitted
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- pinch of cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Pat the plum halves completely dry with a paper towel and lightly brush the cut side of each plum with neutral oil to prevent sticking.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, balsamic vinegar, melted butter, and salt until the mixture is emulsified.
- Place the plums cut-side down on a medium-high grill (approx. 400°F / 200°C) for 3–4 minutes until they develop deep grill marks and caramelize.
- Flip the plums skin-side down and generously coat the charred face with the honey-balsamic glaze using a pastry brush. Grill for another 2–3 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and tacky.
