Ingredients:
- 2 lbs fresh plums, pitted and sliced into wedges
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced plums with granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
- Transfer the plum mixture into a 9-inch baking dish, spreading them into an even layer.
- In a clean bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter and rub it into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or fingertips until the mixture looks like coarse breadcrumbs with pea-sized lumps.
- Scatter the crumble mixture evenly over the plums without pressing it down.
- Bake on the center rack for 30–35 minutes until the topping is deep golden brown and the fruit juices are bubbling thick around the edges.
