Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs fresh plums, pitted and sliced into wedges
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced plums with granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the plum mixture into a 9-inch baking dish, spreading them into an even layer.
  4. In a clean bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt.
  5. Add the cold, cubed butter and rub it into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or fingertips until the mixture looks like coarse breadcrumbs with pea-sized lumps.
  6. Scatter the crumble mixture evenly over the plums without pressing it down.
  7. Bake on the center rack for 30–35 minutes until the topping is deep golden brown and the fruit juices are bubbling thick around the edges.
