Ingredients:
- 12 oz frozen thin-cut french fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced avocado
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions:
- Cook the fries in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until they are deep golden and rigid. Set aside on a wire rack.
- Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Brown the lean ground beef until no pink remains, then drain any excess liquid.
- Stir in diced onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the liquid reduces into a thick glaze that clings to the meat.
- Warm each tortilla for 10 seconds in a dry pan to make them pliable.
- Layer ingredients in the center of each tortilla: a handful of cheese, a scoop of seasoned beef, 4–5 crispy fries, avocado, and cilantro.
- Fold the sides in and roll the burritos tightly.
- Place the burritos seam-side down in a hot skillet for 2 minutes per side until the exterior is golden brown and crisp.
